Jail time Thursday, May 08, 2008 at 5:31 AM I am sure everybody is wondering about the jail time. This is what i posted on the clan chatter. Well, this has been an interesting past few days. Thanks for the support from everybody on my tour troupe was fun to see the mails come in (even if i couldnt check them) Figured i would post my 1/2 of the story, hell why not... I got jailed for mail spam and i sure did spam  I cant say that i didnt know mail spamming was against the rules, but to this day i have not seen anywhere that it is posted. No excuse, i am sure it is out there somewhere that i just havent looked. As for the spamming, normally that is reserved for people i know and friends who enjoy the fun. I know i have spammed some leaders mail from previous gangs and it has given a nice fun topic to talk about on the gang board, a laugh and some banter from the leaders, and generally just a bit of fun.
I and another hobo spammed {SA/GC} Howy {SF}, the leader of Silver Assassin's. After the spamming, we made a thread on the gang board that had the "lol" pictures we sent him and waited for him to reply. He got online and went offline and i figured he was just at work and would post when he got back. Later that night there was a nice little (looking back on it now) snide comment from {SA}DirtyMike about how we would enjoy a little present when we woke up in the morning. Sure enough that little present was a jail sentence. I never got a message from the leader saying he was upset, asking why we had done what we did, asking for reasons... nothing. Now i dont know about most people here, but i learned back when i was about 20 days old that when people have problems you generally can work it out yourself through mail. Much like getting attacked by the same person, simply asking nicely will get you removed from their hitlist. Having your gang hitlist them... only makes things WORSE. Honestly being jailed isnt really what bothered me about this whole thing, if i broke the rules i deserved what i got. But what really bugged me is the fact that on Silver Assassin's there was a post by Error (99% sure it was this guy, i didnt screen shot anything because i wasnt looking to get people in trouble) saying how he was going to be inactive for a month so he was giving his friend the account to beg for him while he was gone. Now if a post like that pops up and people in the gang delete it, thats fine but it sat on the gang boards for the day and a half i was in there, and with {SA}DirtyMike in the gang that is such a blatant violation of the Terms of service. {SA}DirtyMike claimed that he never read the post (uh huh) and that is was no longer on the gang boards (uh huh). Either way, {SA}DirtyMike handled himself well on the jail board. Just doing his job (albeit doing it selectively) {SA/GC} Howy {SF}... well he obviously doesnt like spam, dealing with his own problems, or posting on the boards. Very poor show on the leadership, you would think that they could handle things like this way more diplomatically. Silver Assassin's... They had some good members, some were fun and asking for advice, looking to make themselves better and having a good time. HOWEVER, there was one incident where an older member (1000+ days but only level 60 ish) threatened to hitlist and beat the tar out of his own gang member because he didnt win a prize in a game thread that was being hosted. You guys can judge for yourself on whether or not you want to be a part of a gang like that. |

But I guess they keep us Macro abusers away from the serious spam offenders. |
